pay the drivers very well, but for many it's the only thing they can do with ultimate flexibility. It's something for these guys. Every driver we talked to had full time jobs and were just doing this in their off time for a few extra bucks. In Miami specifically, during the high season (now) there is a shortage of taxis, Uber handles that extra load nicely. We haven't waited more than 2 minutes for a car to arrive, all cars have been cleaner than most taxis, the drivers don't stink, I can follow our path to the destination on my phone so I know they're going the right way, they all have been friendly and talkative. I'm a believer.
