Quick thoughts on players not named Haws and KC
Issac Neilsen - the only big man with real potential. He will need to play more consistently strong but he has a legit outside game, has made several very nice defensive plays recently (not just the impressive block against Stanford but he has a few very nice strips down low). He is the only big man I think who ever has a chance to lead the team in scoring in his career. Not this year of course. He will be a great compliment to some much more polished big men coming in the next few years. He is also the only big who is an offensive weapon at all on the court right now.

Kaufusi - I know it is early but I would be satisfied if he ended up being simply a more athletic version of Austin, but he has a ways to go before he gets even there. He is lost often on the court and sometimes seems confused. Which is ok based on his background. But my expectations are lowering. If he exceeds them, great.

Nixon - I see Rose desperately hoping to get more offense out on the court and looks to Nixon as a possibility. Too young and inexperienced thus far to be much help - but I like his potential to spread the floor.

Worthington - dude is the hardest working, least talented person to play BYU basketball in some time. Both of those were on display at various times yesterday.

Austin - Need his rebounding back. I would love to see a finishing five of Austin, Neilsen, Winder, KC and Haws. I think that is our best team.

Fischer - He was having some epic bad games outside of his three point barrage in Hawaii but has since calmed down or settled and is playing much stronger and much more efficiently.

Halford - I wish he would allow himself to settle in a role of strictly a defensive pest and a facilitator on offense and not shoot anything where he isn't wide open (and even then if haws is also open, pass). Is what he is.

Bartley - I am not quite as sold on him as some of you are. He provided some help against Utah and has some benefit but outside of playing for potential he isn't any better than Halford.

Toolson - wish he would have redshirted
