They'll talk to BYU
Obviously that doesn't mean they'll pick BYU, but they will talk. And BYU is, without a doubt, the best available option -- in fact that only option that experts believe would be revenue neutral. Of course, the issue with BYU is Sunday play; so BYU and the Big 12 will talk, just a matter of what they can work out.

Cincy is a likely pick, there is a reason why many "experts" claim BYU and Cincy are the best choices. Cincy also has a good athletic program, with a solid hoops team. Their other advantage is geographic, they are close to West Virginia, making them less of an outlier.

As for UCF, their football has been decent and they have a large school, though the rest of their athletic department has yet to catch up. Alumni base is still smaller, as they are a newer school and have expanded a lot over the last couple of decades. Their other problem, they would be as much of an outlier than BYU -- it is roughly 1,000 miles from Orlando to Morgantown -- neutralizing their advantage of being East.

Personally, I think the biggest obstacle is the Big 12 expanding. I think the Big 12 will fight hard not to expand and will do it only as a last resort.
