There were a number of posts from evil ALUFs that defended the church and the law of tithing. People who don't belong to the church often scratch their heads when they learn we pay 10% of our increase to the church in the form of tithing.
There are a number of posters on Utefans who have negative feelings towards the church. I always make a point of calling out the board when the posts turn anti-LDS. I get a lot of support from other posters when I do call out anti-LDS sentiment.
Frankly I am more troubled by fellow members of the church who look down on me and question my commitment to the church because I am an alumni of the University of Utah and choose to cheer for their athletic teams.
As a side note: it's been a good year to be a Ute fan.
