1. No doubt our 56 shoved a Memphis player, TO WHICH MEMPHIS PLAYERS COMPLETELY AND UNREASONALY RESPONDED.
2. No doubt that the Memphis players responded completely disproportionately. Several punches, helmets thrown, etc.
3. Memphis players committed the worst acts -- one guy tried to stomp/kick our guy and then punch him, and it appears that he tried to stomp/kick our guy in the groin. Several swung helmets.
4. Our guys were not innocent and several ACTED VERY IRRESPONSIBLY
a. Nacua is among them. He walked up to a bunch of people, threw a punch, completely missed, and then was punched in the face. He was not sucker punched. He then left that group, walked all the way across the field, and then sucker punched the Memphis guy.
b. Our guys got a hold of a few Memphis players and gave them pretty good whoopings. They clearly went too far.
c. Number 92 on our team should be ashamed of himself. He was walking to the tunnel and ripped a Memphis flag from a fan's hands and threw it on the ground in the tunnel. Not sure if the fan was able to get his flag back.
5. Several of our players had great sportsmanship. I applaud them for keeping their cool in a heated situation.
Anyway, I'm all about a player defending a teammate AND SOME, ESPECIALLY THOSE CLOSE TO 56, WERE JUSTIFIED. But several overreacted and went too far. Memphis fans should be completely embarrassed.
