to most kids now, dancing = grinding. We just went through this with our public schools and there are no more dances. They tried everything. They tried more chaperones, more lights, even had the kids sign a type of honor code. This was in Washington and was not led by any LDS parents. Dances still ended up being a mass grind, so they just got rid of dances on campus.
