I recommend getting a treadmill for around $1K.
So long as it has great reviews. There's some good treadmill sites only a google search away that will help you pick the best treadmill for the budget. Use the treadmill for a while, see what you like and don't like about it (and see if you actually are that dedicated to using it), and when you wear it out, pick out a better one, 1500-2K. Rinse and repeat. Most people buy a great one right off the bat, and then don't use it. No need to get a lifetime warranty on an amazing machine that you don't use. You may also find that after using one for several months, you want to run outdoors a little more, especially in warmer weather.
