Just watched a documentary on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Probably the most
depressing documentary I've ever seen. Now I know nothing about the rules of war but how is upwards of 300,000 civilian casualties not a war crime? I get that it ended the war earlier but I'm still having trouble with the ethics of bombing 2 major cities. Very interesting that the Japanese survivors blamed their govt more than the US. Had a tough time sleeping after watching that.
