School in the vice priniples office to the point I missed the bus home. I had to walk home as my mom refused to pick me up. It was about 6 miles.

I was the big quiet kid and got picked on a lot by smaller bullys.

my mom sent me to my room after I got home. She was furious. Kept telling me to wait till my dad got home.

I could here my dad coming up the stairs. I remember sitting up in bed thinking, "yep, this is the day I'm going to die".

He walked in, looked at me, and said "did you start it?"

I said no.

He then asked, "did you finish it?"

A small smile appeared on my face as I said "yes".

"Good" and he walked out and went downstairs to eat dinner.

How tragic it was to have that many people die in a couple of days however we had to put an end to that war. You have to finish the fight and the only way Japan would have given up was to threaten their very existence.
