American Sniper - thanks to the vets
Gotta say, I watched this yesterday, and I'm moved. I love the SEALS, those guys are just plain heroes, and we all sleep better because of the mission they perform.

I almost felt guilty for calling myself a veteran though. On the way home from church, my HT comp and I needed to stop and give a blessing to a sister who might have TB. He had his deacon son along, and we left from the church. During the hour long drive, his Dad was telling him about me flying helicopters, and being in the 'war' and getting shot at. The kid soaked all of it up. Me, I just was grateful that I came home safe, which was my ultimate mission.

But it left me feeling a little second-rate, and really grateful for the men and women who have served in the last 15 years, and given such a great sacrifice by comparison. I put in my time, nearly 10 years, and I don't excuse the fact that I fought a different enemy in my day. But the soldiers, sailors, and airmen today, are fighting a very different war, and my hat is off to them.
