I have a friend who is moving to Sacramento. She doesn't know a thing about the town, but is adamant about buying a house instead of renting.

She asked me where the good areas were. All I could tell her was what I knew from living there briefly 20 years ago. Back then, the pocket area and Roseville were nice.

What other places have lower crime and better schools? Are there any that are south of Sacramento?
