I don't know anything about the dental industry, but I love living here.
It's pricey. No two ways about it.

I rent a 1500 sq ft home that is one half of a split duo, and we pay $2100 per month, and that's on the cheap side here. We are in Pleasant Hill in the East Bay next to Walnut Creek.

It will be at least 3 or 4 years before I can even think about having enough for a down payment on a home.

Having said that, we are making it work, and we love it in the Bay. Yes, over half the population here is completely out of their mind when it comes to politics and how they think society should work, but I just kind of tune out all the crazy and enjoy all the great things here.

The food, culture, outdoor activities, natural beauty, and good weather are all in abundance here. I've never lived anywhere quite like this. My kids are in a decent school and there are plenty of good wards in the Church. I can tell you whatever you'd like to know, at least from my own personal experience.
