My personal experience.

I played football at BYU(Lavell years). My son plays football and going into his junior season is starting to get some attention from schools. He has been invited to some jr. day camps this summer, Stanford, Utah, some small schools, but no interest from BYU.

I have no problem with this at all. I don't feel like BYU owes me or my son anything.

I will say it bugs my son as BYU has always been his favorite school.
