is the best screen I've ever seen in that regard. It annoyed me more than a little watching a letterboxed movie on my iPad and having the bars be gray, along with all of the other grays in the picture that were supposed to be black. I can watch something in pitch black now and there is zero light coming through where the letterbox is, and the blacks in the picture look really good, like ink. Amoled is good technology.
