Reading that link really stresses me out. I'm 37 and have had great jobs, but most of them were startups and didn't have 401k matches. The only factors I can come up with as to why I don't have that high of a net worth are the fact that I've done a few startups (few startups offer 401k match), my family has always been single income, and tithing. Don't get me wrong, I believe in the law of the tithe, but I'm assuming ...meh I'm probably just justifying. Maybe I shouldn't stress about it and just accept the fact that I'm not above average and that I'll never retire . Can't the church just let a guy have a 5 year window to waive tithing and build up retirement?
