As long as the grass is still dormant, putting fertilizer
on the grass will not benefit it one iota and is a complete waste of money. A "winterizer" fertilizer is only helpful in the fall when the roots of the grass are active and can soak in the nutrients.
Disclaimer: I know nothing about lawns and typically kill 3 to 4 houseplants a year by simply forgetting to water them.
