I certainly defend the coaches against what I think are unreasonable criticisms - but that doesn't mean I think they are never in the wrong or that everything bad that happens is because of player mistakes. I also understand that every coach makes mistakes, so as soon as you get rid of one guy because of his mistakes you're not very far away from the backlash beginning against the next guy because of his mistakes. Might be the same mistakes, and there will certainly be different ones.

But, to the point of this post (and mine below) - did you see me actually defend anything the coaches did or didn't do? No, I didn't. I simply asked why an important piece of recruiting at BYU was somehow above all the criticisms involving BYU recruiting. Similar to how I sometimes point out the differences in how fans treat Rose compared to Bronco for the same types of gaffes. It's not that I think Bronco is above criticism. I just find it funny how some are treated with kid gloves.
