I had some friends growing up that would play "war" with BB guns. One night at

dinner, I suggested to my dad that I would like to go play that sometime. He came absolutely unhinged on me and I lost my gun for a long time as a result. My dad was a stickler for gun safety and for me to even suggest I might shoot a gun at someone was enough for me to lose all gun privileges in the home. I will never forget that night and have always practiced strict gun safety as a result.
