we had a yogurt container under the back row bench of our SUV. couldn't figure out why the vehicle smelled funny and finally found it about 4 months later. we tried everything, including snipping off the top of the carpet. nothing worked,it would always smell a little funky on hot days.

we sold the SUV about 6 months later, and just prayed it wouldn't be so hot to be noticeable.
