The decision to become a long-term spokesman for a big business enterprise that employs saturation media buys completely overexposing their spokesmen and forever type casting them is penny-wise but pound-foolish for aspiring actors. Actors and/or their agents are essentially saying that this is the best they can do. It's not a terrible decision money-wise, but it sounds the death knell for the hope of ever reaching the pinnacle of their art form.
You're never going to see Progressive Insurance's Flo become a great leading lady in films. Not going to happen. She's set for life now if she manages her money wisely, but any hope she had of being a top tier film actor is gone.
