My daughter is saying that the housing contracts are not actually year round. In her case her summer contract expires in the middle of August and the fall contract, for the same apartment does not begin until the end of August. Is this unique or are most housing contracts like this? Are students expected to move out of their apartment in August? How does the system actually work, given that many students are living "year-round" in Provo and I am unaware of this "hole" in the contracts being an issue.
