I don't think BYU will be invited to a P5 conference until we no longer "need"
the invite.
No P5 invite is going to save us from dying on the vine as an independent, we will only get invited when indy looks sustainable. We will probably still want to be in a P5 conference at that point but our situation won't be nearly as dire as it has been the past few years.
