Microsoft office online is just more of the same from Redmond,
a really great implementation, about 3 years too late. I've used google docs (Google Apps on my domain) for about 7 years, it gets the job done and has a great ecosystem. I've been using office online for a few months (especially OneNote online); I really think it's a viable competitor to Google Docs, but it's just too late, people are embedded in google docs/drive.

Maybe it's a completely different adoption story in the enterprise and they don't really care about consumer and education sectors. Either way, I just wish MS would drive better competition by releasing good ideas in more relevant marketing windows.
