and anyone who thinks that power is lacking is only kidding themselves. You are spot on, however in stating that the drivetrain is now dated. When the Tundra was released it destroyed every truck on the market, but now the other manufacturers have caught up and passed it. If Toyota cares about the Tundra competing with the big 3, which they may or may not, they need to step up their game. I'm thinking direct injection is necessary.
I think it's hilarious, btw, for people to use 14 mpg, 15 mpg, and 16 mpg as a differentiating factor in truck choice, as it was for this article.
