RE: 2 allegations:
"His head gets screwed on right"? Are you not reading this thread? The allegations were not even connected to him. As for staying silent...Porter Gustin has never "slammed BYU" publicly or privately. I am a member of his family. I graduated from BYU, his mom played basketball at BYU and many of his cousins and uncles and aunts graduated from BYU. We love BYU and have no ill will for them whatsoever. Why can't some of you on this board accept that there is simply no scandal? BYU has every right to tell a kid that they don't have a scholarship for him. That's ok. Yes, he wanted to go there initially, but he's also a big enough boy that if they say they are out of scholarships for 2015 then he's ok with that and is going to move on to some pretty great other schools.

Guys, there doesn't have to be a big scandal. BYU is not trying to "remain silent" on some nefarious issue connected to him. The truth is, there is no issue. If they want to give their scholarships to other players, great! THat's their prerogative! No hard feelings. Wherever he lands will be just fine. He is going on his official to Ohio State this weekend and then will be announcing his choice on Tuesday at 11:00 am at SHHS. And by the way I spent the day up at UTAH with him yesterday and I gotta say, Utah did a great job of recruiting him and they were very classy. I can honestly say they never uttered one negative word about BYU or any other PAC12 team or any team for that matter. My respect for the UTAH UTES is off the charts for the way they handled themselves through this recruiting process...and remember, I am a True BLue Cougar. Always have been, always will be.

Can we please stop with all the speculation and rumors. It's not fair to either BYU or Porter Gustin. They both deserve tremendous respect for all that they have accomplished. Let's just let it go and be happy for both!
