Hank, thanks for the post, you are correct, except for one thing. He actually was 100% fully committed to committing to them on that first day they invited him over in Dec. 2013. I am a family member (and Cougar alum who loves BYU) so I am very plugged into the situation. He went over there dressed up and thrilled for the opportunity to be a Cougar. I speak the truth on this, trust me. So when they said that they "liked him" and would "follow him" but they simply didn't have a scholarship for him, he was disappointed, as were his parents and basically all of his relatives. I know this because I am one of those relatives that wanted nothing more than to see him in Cougar Blue! But like I said, there is no scandal, and no hard feelings. He is going to end up at a great school, and BYU will continue to achieve great things and all will be well. Let's just let it go.
