im not sure i'm familiar with that definition of the term.
are you saying "legacy kid" means a kid's left an athletic legacy at the school or something? As in he's remembered? If so, Reid and Empey aren't really legacy kids either. No one really brings up their achievements as players in casual conversation. Just another couple of names. And there's a post every few days here where someone asks who these kids dads are.

Also, "legacy kid" does mean something:
