kids that we miss on. Point is, it isn't that we didn't go after local kids, we did, AND MISSED. So clearly BYU feels like those local kids are good enough to suit up at BYU. So if you are missing on the kids where you have a built in recruiting advantage (I think you referred to this as pompous) you had better target kids out of state where you have very high odds of landing, or you are going to be in trouble. Because those out of state players have a lot of options besides BYU, and your odds of getting them just aren't as high as the local, LDS, legacy recruits.
