Just a suggestion, a lot of recipes call for canned chicken. Don't do it! It'll make your dip taste like tuna (or, more accurately, have that tin can taste that makes you THINK it tastes like tuna.
Just season, pan fry, and shred a few chicken tenderloins instead. Only a couple more minutes of work for a MUCH better tasting result.
And as I said, I prefer the bleu cheese version, but if you're entertaining, it's often safer to go with the ranch version, as bleu cheese is often not as universally appreciated to palates.
