That was the MLK didn't pass as a state holiday debacle in AZ. So the NFL took the SB away. It came back a few years later. I had done a military swap of duty stations with a guy from my technical training class so I could get closer to home. He let me know when the SB did make it to AZ that first time that he was one of the volunteers they got from the military base and was in the stadium as an usher...saw most of the game...trying to make me jealous.
