30 years to surpass a scoring record?
That's a hard pill to swallow when there's a major change in a scoring rule like adding the 3 point shot.

Ainge is legendary. Agreed. But can we use this to compare our B-ball program with others? And then appropriately set our expectations? How do other programs stack up since that rule change? Has there been an immediate shift in scoring records? Who held the scoring record prior to the rule change? How long did it take to be broken? Who holds it now? Do these stats even matter?

Taking us that long to break his record, which was set under such a major rule difference, might be indicative that our BB program should never be in the same conversation as other elite BB programs
