Don't know how much of it was exhaustion from BYU pushing the pace and intensity (thank you Anson, Halford, and Bartley) in the second half vs. the deflating feeling they must have had missing all those free throws and watching Halford rain dagger threes, but they missed contested jumper after jumper at the end. Much better defense and defensive rebounding at the end. BYU made their free throws. There were a couple of easy layups to seal it where Portland didn't get back on defense. BYU's conditioning looked very good.
