The gold is actually a brown according to Photoshop's color sampler. With the lighting, some people interpret it as a darker black, white others interpret it as gold. The white part is actually a very light blue, and with the poor lighting, it again wrecks how the image is viewed. I think it all comes down to the fact that this is an absolutely terrible quality photo.
