I've never seen anything that mentions adjustments for HS rankings.
My understanding has always been they look at GPA the same and use the ACT as the equalizer. This is why I chuckle when people in my stake go on and on about how rigorous their high school is as compared to the one my kids went to. Sure, their kids probably were more prepared for the workload of a University, but their 3.4 against other kids with no church, scouts, mutual and early morning seminary wasn't offset by the 27 on the ACT. They often weren't accepted, and boy were their parents bitter! Well prepared for a JC I guess...

Yet kids with 3.7 at the "easy school" with more focus on the ACT and scores in the 30's were all accepted to BYU and other 4 yr. colleges.

I think the ACT scores trump any HS rankings they may have, and I don't think they even use them.

Anybody here in admissions and know for sure?
