my parents are LDS, but going to BYU wasn't a big deal in their era. they both went to the university of their home state.

me and all my siblings went to BYU except one...she went to utah state on an athletic scholarship.

the next generation, who have all grown up in utah, most don't even want to go to BYU and i'm not sure how many could get in if they really wanted to. a have a few nieces and nephews who have made it, but they're the outliers.
