Officiating
Watching the Northern Iowa - Wichita State game I watched two calls at the end of the first half that have always been pet peeves of mine and are a constant source of debate within the officiating community.

The WSU point guard had the ball and with the shot clock winding down he initiates contact on a drive and gets the block call. Clearly he forced the contact and I felt it should be a no call. They then took the ball out of bounds and again as the clock was winding down he drives the ball to the basket. He jumped into the defender, who blocks the shot, but the official called the foul on the defender. In both cases the defender had good position but the offensive player initiates the contact and gets the call in his favor.

I keep hoping more and more officials will view this as a no call. Before everyone comments two things should be realized. 1. I can criticize officials but if normally refrain from it because I know how tough the job can be; and 2. Tyler Haws gets a lot of calls with a similar move.
