I would never recommend UVU over BYU but if he is dead set on dentistry it might be the better option. Dental schools are all about gpa and dat score and he will have a much higher gpa at UVU.

I had friends transfer away from BYU because they were struggling in their dental pre-reqs and had no problem getting in after getting straight A's at easy schools.
