Samsung's US division was so successful that the Korean bosses' got mad
From 2011 to 2013 Samsung's US division had astronomical growth (76%) thanks in part to their popular campaign of the "Next Big Thing". If you remember in the "next big thing" they mocked Apple users sitting in lines for the new Apple device. The Samsung Galaxy was the first Android smartphone to break away from the pack of all the others and challenge the IPhone. But this caused a problem and rift with Samsung's bosses in Korea who weren't too pleased with the success of the American division.

-They sent surprise auditors for 3 weeks to Dallas to find fraud and market manipulation with no success.
-One time they made the American Division head honchos stand up at a Company meeting in Korea and have everyone else clap for them for "failing the company".

Either way it sounds like a culture clash hurting a big time company.
