#1 Defensive Intensity. Gonzaga had 1 open 3 in the 2nd half. That is not typical BYU defense, lol. They were absolutely smothered. Defense is 99% effort, and this team has shown they can actually lock teams down. I honestly never thought they could or would.
Key Notes: Bartley, Winder, and Sharp have got to see more significant minutes. KC playing at the top of the key on D is a huge difference maker and puts pressure on the O.
#2 Haws not the primary scorer. Haws was shut down tonight and I think that is a good thing. This team has so many scorers, and when everyone gets a chance to do their thing this is a much better team. Halford, Winder, KC, Bartley, and Fischer can all put up points, but when Haws is getting open it becomes the Tyler show and everybody tends to watch. This team is much better when Haws defers. He'll get his points one way or another.
