Yeah, can I speak from experience...
Some love the sound (when tuned and well-played), and some just can't stand them.
Never had anyone ask me to stop though. Found a secluded spot to practice in Sugarhouse park a few weeks back on a Sunday afternoon when we were up to visit our daughter and new grandson.
