I was a student when we beat SMU in the Holiday Bowl. Didn't go to the airport. Was a student when we won the Holiday Bowl in '84. Didn't go to the airport.

I was visiting family in Murray this weekend. (I live in the PNW.) My daughter, who lives in Provo, left her car at the train station to come to Murray. She and her boyfriend rushed out the door around 11:15 saturday night to try to get her to the train station for the 11:20 train. I'd heard about the team getting in and (jokingly?) told her "if you miss the train, i'll drive you to Provo and i'll go to the airport to see the team come home.".

Guess what? She missed the train. So, I drove her to P-Towne and dropped her off at 12:30. Drove to the airport and took a 30 minute nap before the team arrived.

I got into the thick of it with all the young students. It was great. I think there were only 3-4 people in the crowd that were in my age group. I'm mid 50's. There was a couple near me that are retired so i assume they're in their 60's.

It was an awesome experience. Glad that I've still got the chops to hang out with young people at 2 a.m.

I got to bed around 3 and was up at 730 to start the day which included a 10-hour drive home.
