What a difference 1 game can make in terms of perception.
BYU received 21 votes in the AP poll after the upset over Gonzaga (#2/3 Coaches/AP at the time the game was played). That puts the Cougars 5 spots out of the AP poll.
The Cougars received more votes than a number of schools that have spent time in the polls recently, including VCU, Georgetown, and San Diego State.
