Okay, my blue goggles are in place and I am ready for all of the hype, and getting my hopes up, and reading everything I can. Don't you also get to the point where you just want the season to arrive? I love March Madness and think that BYU will actually get a bid, and so that thrills me, but I also look at that as a way to move me further towards football season. I can't wait to buy my tickets to BYU/Nebraska since I got my PhD from there and spent nine incredible years selling pop at Memorial Stadium. If you can go, this is one amazing place to watch a football game and the drive is only about 12 1/2 hours from Provo. Tickets should cost about $100-125 a piece, depending on who and where you get them from.
Blue-goggled people always look for the best and hope for the best. Even when others bring up all of the downfalls of BYU over the past years, I still look forward to the season and hope for the best. This year is no different. I think BYU will go to at least a New Year's Day bowl game and that Taysom will be in the Heisman Trophy consideration. I think that Jamaal will run for over 1300 yards and that Mitch Matthews and Nick Kurtz will have incredible years. I think that the defense will be in the top 15 nationally, and that they will surprise a bunch of teams. I think Bronco is a great defensive coach and has a great game plan for his defensive teams. This is the year we have been waiting for. Only a little over 180 days. Awesome!! I think we are going to go 11-1 or 12-0 with the only possible loss being to UCLA. Man, I love looking through my blue goggles.
