WCC commissioner on 1280.
Vegas has been good to the tournament. Seven straight year of sellouts. The Monday-Tuesday semifinal and final have worked well. Increased exposure.

On early tournament dates: WCC likes being the top dog among the other conferences holding their CC in that week.

WCC has urged teams to play a tougher OOC schedule but the bottom half of the league are concentrating on wins and not SOS, and the WCC leadership understand the challenges facing those schools.

The commissioner is skeptical but hopeful that the NCAA will address issues facing D1 sports. The P5 autonomy has changed the landscape and its too early to say what will happen. The schools, outside the P5, are adjusting to the new order and are assessing how the changes, those adopted in January and those coming in the future, will affect them. She believes that college athletics will look differently in five years.

WCC will stay in Vegas and evaluate the contract with the Orleans, which expires after the 2016 tournament.
