He was asked to give a bracket buster, and instead said he would give a bubble-buster - meaning a team who was on the bubble who could make some noise if they got in. He said he could see BYU winning a couple of games in the tournament if they get in.

He has A LOT of Vegas connections with odds-maker types, and I suspect they like the fact that BYU:
Has won 6 straight (in convincing fashion).
The team is finally healthy.
They are playing much better defense and rebounding the ball during their streak.
Even when BYU has lost, the games have all been close.
All of the analytics look favorably on BYU (RPI, BPI, Kenpom etc, etc)

Cowherd is not normally pro-BYU, but my guess is a little birdy from Vegas has been in his ear.

BYU just needs to maintain their urgency in the WCC tournament.
