my son got denied with the same
State of Washington (at his high school, AP classes on same scale and he took several AP classes). He applied for summer. FWIW, he is ok with it. He knows he should have worked harder in high school and is going to look at other routes to BYU like UVU. He knows he probably is not ready for BYU anyway.

If you got in with a 3.8 and 27 on the ACT, you are probably going to be in for a rude awakening when you get to BYU. My daughter (4.0/32) and oldest son (3.9/29) have found BYU to be anything other than a cake walk.
