Having a good chunk of college done really does help. BYU is making a big push
To get students out quicker rather than the 5 to 6 or more years it takes some to get their undergrad (Excluding mission time) . If they see that you're serious about schooling and will open up space by finishing quickly they will take you in a heartbeat.
