MLS has a new collective bargaining agreement.
The players and the league reached an agreement a couple hours ago, averting a possible strike just days before the 2015 season is set to start. A few basic terms:

--Minimum Salary raised to $60,000 (nearly doubled)
--Free agency for players age 28 or older with at least 8 years in the league
--Maximum salary increases for players moving as free agents

The new agreement will last for 5 years. I imagine with the minimum salary increase that there has to be a similar increase in the salary cap.
