Sometimes she does things that make no sense.

She has a Kindle, has been a proud Kindle user for the last few years. I'm not a huge fan, but whatever. She recently dropped her Kindle (and her crappy Kindle Fire phone) and it isn't working as well. So she called some number to get tech support. She got connected with some "outside company" to whom she gave remote access to our computer, which the Kindle was plugged into.

So they start rooting around and asking for passwords, she gets suspicious, and finally hangs up on them. Then she calls me. She is sitting at home with the router and all computers unplugged. She does not know what to do next.

Sigh.
