Poor, underprivileged, most likely minority kids decide to form a (insert type of sport here) team without the resources the privileged, rich, white, blonde, jerk kids have.

Poor kids play against rich kids early in the movie. Poor kids lose. Most likely badly.

Rich kids make fun of poor kids for even trying to compete on their level with their junky equipment.

Poor kids threaten to quit until their white coach who was a prodigy in whatever sport they're playing talks them out of it. Also, this coach had to be begged or forced by a judge to coach the poor kids earlier in the movie.

Funky music plays while poor kids work together at practice to get better at whatever sport they're playing.

Crisis! One of the poor kid's parents dies/kills spouse/robs a bank/gets caught with drugs. Usually this is the best player on the poor team. This kid now has to go to work to support his young siblings therefore just stops coming to practice.

White coach goes to house of poor kid and sees what filth he lives in and has a new found respect for the kid. Begs him to come back. Kid says no.

Poor kids on team are sad the best player is gone.

Kid shows up to practice the next day (the day before the big game against the rich team again). Inspirational music. Tears.

Poor team plays rich team the next day. Rich team starts out beating poor team and being jerks about it. Then poor team makes miraculous comeback while inspirational music plays.

Poor team wins. Huzzah!
